Closure Notice: The Sony Rewards program (“Program”) ended on December 31, 2024.

This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) applies only to the information collected by Sony’s Card Marketing & Services Company, a division of Sony Electronics Inc. (“Sony,” “We,” “Us”), through February 14, 2025, both offline and online, through the Sony Rewards program (including the Sony Visa® Credit Card (“Sony Card”) and the PlayStation® Visa® Credit Card (“PlayStation Card”) programs), the Sony Rewards website (rewards.sony.com), and the Sony Rewards mobile app (collectively, “Properties”).

This Privacy Policy is a closure notice and is intended to provide you with a summary of how information has and will be handled.

Collection of Information
We may have collected your contact information (name, e-mail address, mailing address, telephone number), media (photos, videos, etc.), demographic information (gender, zip code, age, etc.), payment information, if applicable, and account information (username, password, security questions, etc.).

We, or our third-party service providers, may have also collected information whenever you interacted with the Properties, including IP address, unique identifiers for your computer or device, website-related data like cookies, browser type, operating system, time on web page visited, and preceding page views.

We also may have received information from our business partners, including entities working on our behalf. For example, for cardholders, we may have received the last four digits of cardholders’ Social Security number and certain card usage information from Comenity Bank.

Any collected information that can identify an individual would be considered personal information (“Information”).

Purposes of Collection
We generally used your Information to administer the Program. This includes, but is not limited to, creation and maintenance of your Sony Rewards account, communicating with you, providing you relevant content and advertisements, identification verification, improving the products and services we offered, security, for internal business purposes, and compliance with the law.

Disclosure of Information
We may have disclosed your Information to other Sony Group companies (“Affiliates”) for any purpose, including for community administration, providing you with content or contacting you regarding Sony products or services, business development, research, security, or other internal purposes. We may have also transferred your Information to our Affiliates in connection with any corporate merger, consolidation, restructuring, or reorganization involving the Program or Properties. Any Information we have provided to Affiliates will be handled in accordance with their own privacy policies, the terms of which may be different from this Privacy Policy. We may also have disclosed your Information to business partners providing services on our behalf (such as customer support providers, data analytics providers, or communication vendors), contest or sweepstakes partners (such as an Affiliate or business partner), and to government entities as part of a legal obligation (if applicable).

Retention
We may retain your Information for as long as necessary for us to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. We may retain your Information for an additional time period as is permitted or required to, among other things, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Security
We seek to maintain reasonable security measures designed to help protect your Information against unauthorized or accidental disclosure, access, misuse, loss, or alteration. There is no such thing as perfect security. Although we strive to protect your Information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of such Information.

Your Rights
Depending on the laws in your jurisdiction, you may have rights related to your Information, including the right to access a copy of your Information, the right to request the deletion of your Information, the right to correct any inaccurate Information, the right to data portability, the right to an appeal, and the right to opt-out of our processing of your Information for certain purposes.
